Paul R. Lawrence papers, 1947-1990.

The collection consists of correspondence, subject files, research, writing, teaching, and consulting records of Paul R. Lawrence. Correspondence and subject files include letters to and from colleagues and business leaders discussing the field of organizational behavior. Research and writing records include manuscripts of published works, case research, and papers given as talks. Research topics include General Motors, The National Institute of Health, and the Warren Mill in Cumberland, Maine, among others. Some of the research projects were conducted by John D. Glover, Harriet O. Ronken, and Fritz J. Roethlisberger. Teaching records include syllabi, course descriptions, reading lists and transparencies. Of note are Lawrence J. Henderson's annotations on a volume entitled "Excerpts from Sociology 23," and an audio recording of Fritz J. Roethlisberger discussing the early history of the field of Organizational Behavior.
